Former main tank and DPS offspec, from BC til the end of Cataclysm. I raided five or six nights a week, being part of a guild with a corporate sponsor and whose leader streamed non-progression raiding through Justin TV, back in 2010-2011, back when livestreaming games was just starting to be a thing. As started earlier I'm returning to the game, as of about a week ago! What past guilds were you in? Please explain the circumstances of your leaving. Most of my raiding career was spent in Cuddle Buddies, in Ner'Zhul, which peaked at #7 in North America and #30 globally. We were the least appropriately named Horde guild on the planet. I retired in 2012 in order to return to college, after completing heroic Dragon Soul, and the guild dissolved. Most of the core Team A retired as well, with a few finding spots in other top guilds. Since then I've completed my undergrad and graduate work, and I find my nights free once again. What can you contribute to our guild? Why should we want you? What do you want out of our guild? Are you only interested in the guild for raiding? I'm a ridiculous person, a solid raider above all. That's the first thing that brought me to the website, of course. The only time I don't show up to something is if I'm somehow unconscious, or someone I care about is, and is not supposed to be. I'm a veteran of competitive gaming and upon returning to the game, I'm looking for a new home. The ability of WoW to forge strong brotherhoods such as yourselves is what has brought me back, and so ideally, I would like to find a group of friends who "has fun while being the best," to shamelessly steal a motto used by Best Buy. Originally I just wanted a hardcore guild that was all business but after reading several like it, and then reading Reclamations's charter, I think I would choose this if you would have me. And no, I'm actually a long term Heroes of the Storm player as well. I'm over level 1,200 there and playing that with the guild would be neat. It's also mentioned that the guild loves to collect achievements and all the shininess that comes with it, and secretly, that is exactly what I love to do in WoW as well. Overall I fell in love with the tone of the charter. =) Do you ever experience performance or latency issues (fps, lag, etc)? Are you able to react to things quickly (< 100ms)? Nope. No issues here. What professions is your character benefiting from? Are you comfortable contributing profession-related materials or consumables to the guild bank for progression? Currently mining and jewelcrafting, mostly because back in the day, mining gave you a stamina bonus and jewelcrafting gave you a mastery bonus, which made them the ideal combination for a main tank DK. In the future I don't at all mind helping supply the guild with resources. Do you have or are willing to install and use Discord (for communication and VoIP), and have a headset with a functioning microphone? If not, are you willing to install it and purchase a functioning headset? Do you have any issues that prevent you from communicating over voice? I already use the dedicated Discord app every day, on my desktop as well as the Android version. And my smartwatch. And voice chat is no problem whatsoever. I'm actually a huge audiophile so good audio is the last thing in my life that would go unfulfilled. For loot distribution we primarily use a modified EPGP system that you can view online that is based almost entirely on attendance. We may also occasionally opt to use loot council in special situations. This means that gear may be given to people other than yourself in cases where it would benefit the raid more as a whole. Are you willing to put the needs of the guild before your own in order to progress? The needs of the raid are the needs of my character. You may occasionally be asked to do things you don't like. This may include: going on standby for other roles/classes, respeccing, farming mats, doing old achievement runs, or helping guild mates with incredibly random things. Is this okay with you? Are you saying you want me to play a completely different class, role, and spec in an upcoming expansion? I'll start leveling two hours ago. I have done this before for a guild, don't test me. lol Provide a link to a portrait of your character drawn by you I actually suffer from aphantasia. Please, drawing is one of the worst things to ask of me. Please list the names of the H.R. officers listed in the guild charter and explain why knowing this is important. You may also list your favorite part of the guild charter for extra credit. I believe Silvertone was the only officer specifically listed as H.R.? It is important to note, though, because H.R. represents the individual's best interests, in favor of the guild's, and is therefore their duty to reconcile the two forces, should they be at odds. My favorite part of the charter is the stance on friends and family joining the guild as casuals, that they would have to fill out the "casual player form." I have a cousin/best friend who has expressed interest in following me around, PVPing with the guild, maybe doing casual runs, socializing, making friends, etc., and making that process harder for him would actually be kind of hilarious. Additional information you would like to have taken under consideration: Feel more than free to ask, actually. Just add me to Discord and I'll chat all day. As stated I'm pretty ridiculous. (Optional) If your class is not currently being recruited, please indicate whether or not you are satisfied with being a casual or substitute. Please also provide a brief reasoning why you'd like to be in Reclamations despite potentially not having a core raiding spot: To be honest, being told "I want you to raid with us not as a DK, but as a mage," for example, would be an amazing excuse to embark on a new adventure. (I do actually like Ele Shaman quite a bit, now that I bring it up). But I'm the sort of person who fully commits to something and would much rather have an active and considerable role. As such, being a former world class raider I am looking to raid in a guild's primary group. However if I felt that I somehow still have room enough for improvement and this does not fit some extreme expectations, then there is no shame in being a substitute. (Optional) Do you know any Reclamations members, and if so, who? Nope! When looking for a new guild I opened up WoWProgress and consulted the list of top guilds. That's just the kinda life I'm used to. Edit: I didn't realize this would be public! I haven't touched anything, but I do now wish to say hi to everyone.
