    Protection Paladin

What past guilds were you in? Please explain the circumstances of your leaving.
I've played this game on and off since just before TBC launch. Legion was my first expansion playing this game seriously to any capacity. Having said that, Emerald Nightmare was my first experience with real end game progression.
My first guild was fantastic. Excellent community with a driven raid team that sought to push ranks on their realm. Best accomplishment was 6th or 5th server Cenarius kill ( You Had Me At ZugZug / Server 5th for most of T19 long history of raiding past expacs )
Lack of real mythic experience however landed me on the bench for ToV.
I stayed with them for a variety of reasons ( community, most importantly) but they ended up disbanding a few months before Tomb was released. I also managed 5/10M NH with them before the break up. The other two kills came with trialing but couldnt find a team that i enjoyed as much.

When Tomb did release, Protection Paladin wasn't faring very well given the damage patterns most of the new bosses exhibited; in comparison to other tanking classes. Given the time i had to invest in a character early on in Legion, I wasnt very motivated to switch characters; despite finding that most guilds wouldnt approach a Paladin over a DeathKnight / Druid. The guild hunt took a while, and Zug Zug actually managed to get some of the team back together but the raiding element was stuck at a heroic level. So toward the end of the tier I left them for a new guild that was willing to trial a Paladin.

I then worked with The Silent Circle and felt back at home. Strong likeable community that enjoyed mythic content. By now i was alot better than at the start of ToV and managed to clear 6/9 Tomb with them. I trialed during progression on mistress and the kill sold me on whether or not i should try to commit to them. ABT came around however and there were just too many things keeping some of the stronger players behind. They insisted on a heroic clear each week and really for a few months we only saw real progression 3 hours a week. We hit 5/11 and were stuck at immonar. Kills were inconstistent, we had attendance issues, and leadership didnt address that some people really didnt research the fights at all. Eventually the switch was made to 2 day mythic raiding end of February / march but by then I had already decided to leave as the raiding situation just wasnt competitive enough for me. At the time that I left, most guilds were 8-10 / 11. That set he stage for trouble as most guilds weren't looking at anyone with only 5/11.

Much more recently: I trialed with Death Penalty on Stormreaver but was recruited as a standby without really being told so. Theyre good enough that i wanted to to commit to a future there but i've played the loyatly card repeatedly and it hasnt really bore me any fruit.

I'd like to limit what i have to say about my current guild to maybe an interview over discord. Really screwed me over.

What can you contribute to our guild? Why should we want you? What do you want out of our guild? Are you only interested in the guild for raiding?
I bring two years of mythic tanking experience at a fairly high end level. I'm a dedicated player who comes to an encounter with research in hand. I believe preparedness includes readiness to make mistakes, understand what kind of mistakes can be made, most importantly, learn from them.
I'm just looking for a stable enviornment that provides both a likeable atmosphere as well as a drive to clear content in a timely manner.
On a certain level i'm sure most if not all of us are here to raid and push keys but doing it with people we like is some really good icing on the cake. I'm a competitive person but i'm also really awkward, and meshing with people has never been my strong suit. I guess what was so cool about my first guild (zugzug) is that they were just very open and how they treated me had little to do with my performance as a player at the time ( 0 mythic experience )
The friends i made in that guild are some of my best friends today and hopefully i can find a similar experience with you guys.
If need be i can ask them for reference purposes.

Do you ever experience performance or latency issues (fps, lag, etc)? Are you able to react to things quickly (< 100ms)?
Over two years I've lagged enough to hinder gameplay twice and usually its because i have a stream up or something.

What professions is your character benefiting from? Are you comfortable contributing profession-related materials or consumables to the guild bank for progression?
Currently im a leatherworker but am looking to scrap it just because the high end crafted armor is soulbound. Havent put too much time into professions and i'm broke because of it but am very open to the idea of putting forth resources to the guild.
I'm laughing at the idea that someone would explicitly not want to contribute.

Do you have or are willing to install and use Discord (for communication and VoIP), and have a headset with a functioning microphone? If not, are you willing to install it and purchase a functioning headset? Do you have any issues that prevent you from communicating over voice?
I have discord and have used mumble and teamspeak. Very comfortable with talking in voice chat and have a razer headset.

For loot distribution we primarily use a modified EPGP system that you can view online that is based almost entirely on attendance. We may also occasionally opt to use loot council in special situations. This means that gear may be given to people other than yourself in cases where it would benefit the raid more as a whole. Are you willing to put the needs of the guild before your own in order to progress?
I was always okay with this but given the changes to personal loot its harder to follow but if i can trade a piece i will; as a tank, performance is more important than what im wearing compared to a dps, who may or may not have optimal azerite traits in this case.

You may occasionally be asked to do things you don't like. This may include: going on standby for other roles/classes, respeccing, farming mats, doing old achievement runs, or helping guild mates with incredibly random things. Is this okay with you?
The more the guild invites me to do something the happier i am to do it.

Provide a link to a portrait of your character drawn by you
I can actually do something really cool here but it'd take a few days. Interview me and you'll see!

Please list the names of the H.R. officers listed in the guild charter and explain why knowing this is important. You may also list your favorite part of the guild charter for extra credit.
    Nellabell i believe!
I guess a not so obvious reason would be just to keep everyone sane. Running a guild is no joke and with good organized management it can last and provide a quality experience for its members.

E.C: Loot and Plunder, specifically the use of the word plunder.

Additional information you would like to have taken under consideration:
Quality individual, dedicated raider, just looking for a guild I can commit to long term.
    Thanks for reading!

Also, I did not buy an argus carry. That was this guild one and only kill and raiding ended afterwards. I have logs to show argus progression as early as march.

(Optional) If your class is not currently being recruited, please indicate whether or not you are satisfied with being a casual or substitute. Please also provide a brief reasoning why you'd like to be in Reclamations despite potentially not having a core raiding spot:
Unfortunately, Id be looking for a spot as a main raider but given the nature of this application and how thorough it is im confident we could be friends in any event.

(Optional) Do you know any Reclamations members, and if so, who?
    Not yet!

Hey Jeff I really enjoyed reading your application, the detail and time you put into it is really appreciated. You sound like you could be a great fit for our guild given your clear commitment and experience, unfortunately we are currently in the process of trialing a new core tank. This means that we do not currently have a core spot available as a tank, but there is always a chance that he performs poorly and a chance to compete for a spot with him could arise if that's something you'd be interested in. Either way thanks again for your time and if you'd like to chat further msg me on bnet: special#11948.
